What’s this?

This is a newsletter where I think out loud about race in Singapore. It seems like we have the same conversations about race every few months and I’d like to puzzle out these questions more consistently instead of just when something racist blows up on social media. I certainly don’t think I have all the answers so there will be times when we’re all learning together. Feel free to send me requests for topics you’d like to see covered! I aim to send out issues fortnightly but they will realistically land in your inbox whenever I have something to say.

Who are you?

I’m a brown Singaporean writer who’s been thinking and writing about race for a few years now. I know the anonymity is a little concerning but it’s to separate my opinions from those of my employers’ and not to evade accountability. Feel free to shoot me an email if you have questions or comments. I will respond if your comment is constructive but I reserve the right to ignore trolls because I’m doing this for free! :)
